Day One: Journey to the Jungle
Since we are heading deep into the Virachey National Park, a good chunk of the first day will be a multi-leg trip by car or tuk-tuk, then riverboat, and finally on the back of a motorbike. On our way up the river, we’ll stop off at Koh Peak Village, home of the Kochok, where we will experience their local culture. We will have lunch in the shade before the final leg up to the conservatory.

Night One: Good Food
After reaching the Gibbon conservatory, you will be given a tent to store your belongings and relax. As the sun sets, you will also have the option of doing a calm evening walk around the property, where our guides will point out rare, elusive critters. Return for a wonderful meal prepared by the conservatory’s on-site chef, before heading to bed to sleep. We’ve got an early start tomorrow!

Follow The Call!
In order to make the most of this experience, we will be rising before the gibbons! Don’t worry, coffee will be provided. After an easy walk into the deeper forest along a flat path, we will sit and wait. Once we hear the gibbons calling to each other, we will know which way to go.

Morning Swings
Gibbons are not monkeys, but lesser apes. We will spend the entire morning watching our long-limbed cousins go about their morning rituals of hooting and hollering at one another. We packed breakfast, so we’ll be able to make the most of our time here.

Departing Lunch
After we’ve had our fill of furry friends, we’ll return to the conservatory for a nice lunch before starting our journey back to civilization.
